IV Sedation
Procedures may be performed under local anesthesia (awake with local freezing), however, patients who suffer from anxiety or want a more comfortable experience may chose to undergo intravenous sedation.
IV sedation stands for intravenous conscious sedation, in which sedation medication is delivered directly into your bloodstream. This is done by inserting an extremely thin needle into one of your veins, from which the medication flows through. After the initial pinch of the needle, this process should be relatively comfortable and pain-free. We will work closely with you to determine what type of sedation works best for you and your comfort level. To learn more about IV sedation and all of the ways we foster a relaxing environment at our office, feel free to contact our team of specialists.
