Pre-Prosthetic Surgery
Pre-Prosthetic Surgery:
The goal of pre-prosthetic surgery is to remodel bone or soft tissue (gums) surgically to allow a better prosthetic (denture) seating. A variety of procedures are available, however, this is case dependent.
Trauma Surgery:
Maxillofacial trauma surgery comprises treatment of all types of fractures involving the bones of the face, as well as the repair of lacerations inside as well as outside the mouth. Depending on the gravity of the injuries, the treatments may be undertaken either in a clinical or hospital setting. There are times, however, treatments are performed under general anesthesia in a hospital setting should this be deemed necessary.
